These terms apply to your use of the VirusSign threat intelligence website and its public features. By using the service, you agree to these terms. A separate agreement or access plan governs any additional API, feed or dataset rights and takes priority where its terms conflict.
Use of the service
Use the service for lawful security research, investigation and other authorized purposes. Do not bypass access controls, misuse another person's credentials, disrupt the service or circumvent quotas and rate limits. Only submit information you are authorized to share.
Accounts, API keys and quotas
Keep your API key private and contact us if you suspect it has been compromised. You are responsible for protecting credentials and for use you authorize under your account. Permissions, quotas, duration and any fees are defined by your approved access plan.
Queries may consume quota even when no matching record is found. See the API usage documentation for details. Evaluation access does not automatically include production use, redistribution or resale rights.
Intelligence and permitted use
Use intelligence alongside your own investigation and judgment. Coverage, assessments and availability can change; a missing result or a benign assessment is not a guarantee of safety.
VirusSign and its licensors retain their rights in the service and its data. You may use results within your approved scope. Bulk collection, redistribution, resale or incorporation into a commercial product requires appropriate permission or a separate agreement.
Availability and access changes
We may maintain, update or limit features and suspend access to address misuse, security issues or violations of these terms. Any separate service commitments remain governed by your agreement.
Responsibility and limitations
Unless a separate agreement states otherwise, the service is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation or complete, error-free intelligence. To the extent permitted by applicable law, VirusSign is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service. These terms do not exclude rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Our Privacy Notice explains how we handle information. We may update these terms as the service changes and will identify the latest version by the date above. Contact service@virussign.com with questions about these terms or your access.
